Paperly Sheets Open Sheets Security

This page explains how we protect your data, and how to tell us if you find a security problem in Paperly Sheets.
How your data is protected
- Google sign-in, no passwords. You sign in with your Google account. We never ask for, receive or store a password. Google's sign-in is checked on our server before a session starts.
- Your workbooks stay yours. Signed out, they stay in your browser. Signed in, they are stored in your account and only your account can open them. Any workbook can be kept on this device only.
- Daily backups. Account data is backed up every night and kept for 30 days, so it can be restored if something goes wrong.
- Rate limits. Sign-in and other requests to our server are limited per minute and per hour, to stop guessing and abuse.
- Strict checks and headers. The server accepts only the exact data it expects, never shows internal errors, and the site uses security headers (including a Content-Security-Policy) and HTTPS only.
- Secrets stay out of the code. Keys are kept only in Cloudflare, never in the published site.

Report a problem
If you think you have found a security problem, email iamgamer072@gmail.com with what you found, the steps to see it, and the page or app version. Please don't post it in public until we have had a chance to fix it, and don't open, change or delete other people's data while testing.
We will reply within 72 hours to say we have your report, and keep you updated until it is fixed.
What is in scope
- The website and web app (excel-app1.pages.dev) and its pages
- The accounts server (sign-in, plans and cloud saving)
- The Paperly Sheets app for Windows
Out of scope: attacks that need physical access to your device, spam or denial-of-service tests, and problems in Google, Cloudflare or other services we use (please report those to them).
Our promise
If you report a problem in good faith and follow the rules above, we will not take legal action against you or ask anyone else to. We will thank you, and credit you if you want.
